Nice post. First of all I’d like to mention that I saw my first Habs game of the season last night against the bruins. I have been in the UK and have only been listening to the games on CJAD. I was impressed with what I saw, we could have easily won by more. Now onto the questions…

    1. I think that Price and Chipchura have both made a significant impact. With Price, it is amazing to see such a young goalie look so comfortable. With Chipchura, I am really excited to see him develop into a defensively solid player that will also contribute on the scoresheet.

    2. Kovalev has always frustrated me for not always utilizing his amazing talent. I am, however , happy with his season to date. He is having fun out there this season and he looked good on the line with Plekanec and Higgins last night.

    3. Andrei Markov should be an all star this year!

    4. I think that Plekanec will end up with more points, but Higgins will have more goals.

    5. I think that Koivu will hit 80 points, but his +/- won’t be that high by the end of the season. We don’t score enough 5 - on 5, and all those PPGs don’t contribute to +/-.

    6. We will definitely not see Sergei Kostitsyn in the line-up this season!!

    7. I think that Halak is the most likely to be traded. It would make sense as well. It is a waste to have that kind of talent in the minors. He is just unlucky to be stuck behind two quality goalies. We could trade him for a skater of equal talent that could contribute. There are several teams desperate for goalies too.

    8. I hope that Gainey signs Streit soon as his value is only going to go up. Sign him now at a bargain price!

    9. Brisebois is exceeding expectations this season. I certainly didn’t expect him to be getting this much ice-time and contributing. I was impressed with his zone-clearing passes last night against the bruins.

    10. Make the play-offs????…we’re gonna win the cup.
