Rules On Goalie Pads

Nyr Lund

I know there is a rule on how wide goalie pads can be, but what about the length?

I ask this because the last few games I’ve notice that Lundqvist’s pads have flaps that come up to cover his thighs. At one point in the game last night his legs were stretched from post to post and his 5 hole was barely open. And in a post game interview the other night he was sitting on a chair and his pads came up to the middle of his chest. Is there a rule against how high the leg pads can be?
