Habs Have 2 Options to get Better

First Option:

Call up Lapierre to solidify, energize and make your fourth line really tough to play against..

Higgins / Koivu / Latendresse

Kostitsyn / Plekanec / Kovalev

Begin / Chipchura / Ryder

Kostopoulos / Lapierre / Dandeneault

Big guys throwing their bodys around making the other teams feel their presence

Second Option:

You call up your best forward from Hamilton to get a more offensive punch

Higgins / Koivu / Kovalev

Latendresse / Plekanec / Ryder

A.Kostitsyn / Grabovski / S.Kostitsyn

Kostopoulos / Chipchura / Dandeneault

Begin get the short end of the stick, but that’s the law of the jungle…

I agree with bringing Lapierre up from Hamilton to provide some energy to our team but I think your second option sucks. Leaving out Begin will only hurt the team and your really leaving our second line hanging out to dry with Ryder and Latendresse.. yes.. maybe Latendresse had a nice goal on Saturday night but I’m going to need to see a few more of those before I stop pushing to send him back down to the minors!

I’m pretty sure Latendresse is our second highest goal scorer… he has more goals then both Koivu and Higgins

Also, on TSN today Latendresse was asked about why he came out so slow at the the beginning of the season and he said, and I quote “I wasn’t so confident with myself or my line-mates… I was also injured”

Sure if you put Ryder and Latendresse together you’ll have both of our worst skaters together but those lines don’t have to stick

and I definitely prefer Kostopolous to Begin… In my opinion Kostopolous does what begin does plus more.

In my opinion, I would rather have a team full of Higgins’ than a team full of Latendresses, I dont care how many goals he has, he’s a weak skater and a complainer. Who were his linemates at the beginning of the season??? Koivu? Higgins? These guys are great hockey players with great hockey minds and im sure if they had the same size at Guy, they would put it to much better use. I do agree that a goal is a goal but for the most part, Latendresses goals have been a joke, scoring from behind the goalie’s red line in some cases. I’ve actually been to quite a few games this year and it’s quite humurous to watch Guy on the ice, he skates in circles for the most part, in fact someone sitting next to me was joking that he goes back to the bench and complains to Carbonneau that he wants to stop skating in circles and Carbonneau tells him to shut up or else he’ll nail his other foot to the floor!
