Joe Thornton Leading The Sharks

Joe

I was just checking out some players stats for the year and noticed that Joe Thornton was leading the sharks in scoring. Nothing out of the ordinary to see Joe at the top, but what amazed me is that Joe has 16 more points than the second top scorer on his team, Jeremy Roenick.

Joe Thornton 24GP 11G 18A 29PTS
Jeremy Roenick 22GP 7G 6A 13PTS

I have watched a lot of the Sharks games this season and I cannot recall a team that depends on an individual for offense as much as the Sharks have relied on Joe. I know Cheechoo, Marleau, and Michalek have been struggling as well as Clowe being injured, but it is astonishing to see the gap between the top scorers as wide as it is. Now I am wondering, if any other teams this season have relied on one player as much as the Sharks have relied on Joe for offense? Boston with Savard? Kovalchuk in Atlanta? Ovechkin in Washington? any others?
