HabsCast is proud to announce the creation of HabsIBelieve.com which is meant to bring all Habs believers together and show support for our Montreal Canadiens in their journey for 25! This site was inspired by Brother Roy’s speech on the Team990 and was initiated by HabsCast creator David Gross. We are encouraging all Habs fans to write their beliefs on the site with hundreds of others. I believe that if Habs fans come together and stand behind their team then the Canadiens will have more of a chance of bringing Lord Stanley home!

Having known brother roy for thirty odd years, been in pools with him for almost as long, I write you today. Saku is a hero, no doubt, but his traditional post x-mas disappearing act makes me think that it’s time for Ryder, Koivu, and one of the Bulldog rookies to head for a swap for Marion Hossa. He’d fire up Higgins and company to give the #1 line a bit less pressure to carry the offence nightly. I’d keep the rest, though #71 could be thrown into the trade, and say, a dozen Fairmount bagels, to sweeten it.

It’s hard to not get ahead of yourself but they do look good. I was at a whole bunch of parades in the 70s and lived through the tougher days…I prefer the parades. There seems to be something special about these guys. I don’t think they have deep enough talent to go against Detroit or Anaheim this season but they could win the east and next year - who knows?
